The laboratory of Electronic Information Science and Technology,which was founded in 1996 ,is a professional integrated laboratory basis of modern electronics and electronic information processing field theory, solid experimental skills of senior engineering and technical personnel. After ten years’ construction and development, it is now an integrated experimental of experimental teaching and science research. As a teaching center, a large number of graduates have been trained with strong social adaptability and innovation capability .These graduates were playing an important role in many fields, such as science and education, industry, transport, communications, finance, medical, construction, military and other industries and sectors. Our experimental teaching philosophies are "student-centered, solid professional foundation, emphasis on creative ability, focusing on the practical ability “.Training students’ experimental skills, scientific quality, innovation awareness are the comprehensive capacity targets. There are exceed 20 experimental curriculum, more than 100 experimental projects for students to select, and main in the light of Faculty of Science electronic information, electronic science and technology and other professional students.  Every year, there are more than 300 students studying in the lab. We have organized students to participate in the National Electronic Design Competition, and achieved good grades. Now, some new achievements were added to lab, such as sensor embedded design, image processing and machine vision, DSP applications, microwave communications, network engineering, MEMS and so on.

 

There are 13 persons in lab, including 1Professor, 3 Associate Professor, and 8 Lecturers, 5 teachers have Doctoral degree. The laboratory has been focusing on the cultivation of teachers. For the new young teachers, they need to be trained for six months by skilled teachers, so that they can adapt to the teaching and learning environment and take on the task of teaching as early as possible. There are plans to organize laboratory technicians, experimental teacher’s education, training and learning, which expand the horizons of experimental teachers, sublimation ideology and philosophy of teaching, experimental teaching ability gradually increase. Encouraging full-time experiment teachers undertake or participate in the experiment teaching, research work, raise academic standards and teaching abilities.

 

Currently, laboratory preliminary has equipments available for the Bachelor use of electronic information, Branch professional simulation laboratory, electronic information laboratory microcomputer principle experiment box, signal and system experimental box ,mode voltage of electricity experiment station, digital signal processing systems, online programming experiment system EDA, analog and digital oscilloscope, vector network analyzer, microwave analyzer spectrometer, electronic circuit production machine, ARM embedded development platform, SOPC-GIDE integrated innovation and development of experimental platforms, high frequency circuit experiment system, innovative experimental platform DSP image processing experimental development platform, the principle of modern communication test chamber, sensor technology, experimental instrument, robot series and other specialized equipments, which provides a good experimental environment for our students and teachers and also lay the foundation for the subsequent related research studies.

 

Telecommunications Laboratory annually gives a major service for two four-year professional students of the telecommunications, Electric Division, open a total of 20 experimental teaching courses, and more than 100 experimental projects and open experimental project, up to more than 300 students come into the lab annually. Experimental teaching system mainly contains four levels of content: Professional basis, integrated design, engineering practice, research and innovation. Basic Experiment includes basic circuit analysis, analog electronics, digital circuit, signal and system, etc. By teaching the theory and practice of environmental closely integrated to improve the ability of the students to the basic theory and practical hands, solid professional basis. Integrated design block is carried out on the basis of professional digital signal processing, computer graphics, the principle of single-chip computer, microcomputer principle and interface technology, communication theory, software based programming, object-oriented programming principles and applications, EDA experimental compilation experiment and computer simulation language programming, computer algorithms, computer network experiments, through a series of experimental teaching to enhance students' comprehensive ability and innovation ability. Aspects of engineering practice mainly for fourth grade students, actively promote the construction of practice teaching base, recommend students entering internship, contact into the actual work like the Nantian Group electronic information enterprises to apply the learned knowledge to the engineering. By doing this, theirs horizons were expanded and their abilities to solve problems were improved. Research and innovation is the highest level, focus on the ability of students participating in research projects of the teachers to improve theirs capacity. Four levels of step-by-step and mutual penetration combined with state-of-the-art experimental teaching methods, to the maximum extent stimulate student interest and enthusiasm, so as to achieve the goal of personnel training.

 

 

In recent years, some teaching materials, such as analog circuit, digital circuit, signal and system, digital signal processing, computer graphics were published. The effect of experimental teaching is good. The students’ practical ability has been greatly improved. The teachers are active to combine science research and practical teaching together. More than 100 academic papers articles have been published in recent years, more than 10 articles are indexed by EI, SCI or ISTP.

 

 

The areas of laboratory are nearly 1334 square meters, and every room is clean and safe. The lab can satisfy the needs of the graduate students of physical electronics, undergraduate of electronic information science and technology and electronic science and technology. Each laboratory is labeled "the laboratory safety management system ", "laboratory staff code", "the students' experiment rules" to remind experimental teachers and students to abide by. Two experimental technicians strictly perform management system and code, adhere to the daily inspection, and constantly improve the laboratory environment for teachers and students to provide more pleasant teaching and learning environment.

 

The laboratory manager is responsible for the managing of equipment and teaching. Everyone in the laboratory must strictly abide the rules and regulations of the school college regulations. The open managing method is used in every day teaching.

 

In the future, we will pay more attention to the innovation ability and practice ability of the cultivation of the experimental teaching idea, to further improve teaching system structure, more efforts to cultivate students' experimental skills and scientific quality, improve the innovation consciousness, make graduates can adapt to the development of the society needs. At the same time, constantly optimize the teaching staff, improve teaching management level, form the unity of scientific research innovation team. In the opening experiment teaching and equipment on the basis of network management, further improving the information management level and efficiency, better for the professional development and laboratory construction service. Further improve the teacher's scientific research ability, the scientific research achievements of positive reflected in the teaching work, to make the students not only have solid professional foundation, but also have a strong ability to innovate and develop professional field of vision.
